2001 ford escort. front brakes are hanging up to where the rotors are getting hot. i've replaced both calipers, both rubber flex hoses,master cylinder,new brake fluid and adjusted the brake peddle linkage. any ideas what else may be wrong?

has the brake petal adjustment rod been played with? could be a vacuum leak across the booster. what was the frist problem that started.

p.s. do not mess with the petal adjustment, it's preset and never needs adj., it will only cause problems

It may be the proportioning

It may be the proportioning valve, it will be in line after the master cyclinder, before the calipers.
