how change transmission fluid for astro van2004

Raie and support vehicle. Use

Raie and support vehicle.
Use a large drain pan to catch the trans fluid.
Remove five to six transmission pan bolts from the rear of the trans pan.
Loosen, but do not remove the rest of the transmission pan bolts, allowing the pan to tilt and drain fluid into the drain pan.
As the flow or fluid slows loosen the other bolts a little more until all/most fluid is drained.
Holding the pan to keep it from dropping, remove all of the bolts and slowly lower the pan.
Inspect inside of pan for debris from the transmission (metals shaving are signs of bearings and other parts wear)
Clean pan and install new pan gasket (do not use any adhesive.
Install pan being careful not to overtighten the bolts.
Put 4 qts of transmission fluid into the trans and start the engine.
Check trans fluid with engine running adding .5 qt as needed until the transmission is full.
Lower vehicle.
Drive vehicle and recheck trans fluid.

Take the old fluid to autozone to be disposed of (free).
