How long will a patched tire last? I have some good tires on my car but have had a couple patched. Can I rely on these for the regular life of the tire?

I would not rely on them for

I would not rely on them for the life of the tire. Maybe a year at the most.

It Depends on the patch.

There are several dependencies on patches and plugs. The RMA (Rubber MFG Association) will only approve a plug patch (combination unit) on an inside the tire repair. The injury cannot be on the side wall or near the shoulder of the tire. If the repair was done properly from the inside of the tire, the patch should be ok for the life of the tire.
However after a flat repair is made the tires performance rating drops 1 letter. So an 'H' rated tire will be a 'T' rated tire in performance now.
