i'm not sure of engin size, i can only find a 1.6 liter for that year on alldata?
Fuel filter is mounted on
Fuel filter is mounted on thepassengers side firewall. I don't think the 1996 civic has a cabin filter.
For instructions and pictures on how to change the uel filter check out this site (I just looked at the info to be sure it was there).
Try www.autozone.com for the step-by step guide along with pictures for this procedure.
Once at the site identify you car under the heading "current Vehicle"
Next click "Repair Info" on the tabs below the AutoZone logo.
At the middle of the page go to "Your Ride, Your Guide" and click "Become a member" set you username and password
Log-in and click "Vehicle repair guide"
Select the category for the repair needed.
