my 1993 s-10 truck with the 4.3 engine does not want to take off going down the road every time i mash the gas it acts like i'm chokeing the engine. the timeing is off on the truck is it the egr valve or the mass air im am clueless?

(DRIVE) the truck with a (FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE) attached to the (ENGINE) and post the (FUEL PRESSURE PSI VALUES), under (DIFFERENT) engine loads.
(DO THE SAME) with an (ENGINE VACUUM PRESSURE TESTER).
(IGNORE) the (MIL). Do a scan for error codes even if the "MIL" is (OFF). Post any codes that maybe present so we can see them.
