I have a 2000 4Runner check engine light came on for a day then went off, but now the car stalls every so often while idiling say at a stop light but if i gas it hard enough it won't die. why is it doing this?

Have it scanned, even thou the light is off the computer should still have the code stored. Then we have an idea what happened. Possible o2 sensor.
