stationary parts cann't cause a viberation, it is something spinning or rotating. loose componits will exadurate the cond. is it during braking, than brake rotors are the problem. if it's when driving strait down the road, i'd check tires, wheel balance, axles and drive shafts. no dought if you have loose suspenion or steering parts replace them but it will not be cause of viberation. let us know how you make out.
Just had shocks replaced today...not driven it far enough to see if vibration still going on...but now there is a very loud noise (squeaking) EVERY time I turn the steering wheel...either way...Could the vibration be coming from something in the steering colum that goes to front wheels???
hey, if this viberation is just after bump/pot hole and gets the steering wheel wobbling/shaking to where you cann't stop it holding the wheel tightly. I MEAN OUT OF CONTROL, replace the steering dampner. it's a shoct that is bolted to frame and center link/long tie rod. i should of caught it in your frist statement, over think things some times. been in the trade too long. i'm 99.9% that is your problem. good luck with it and let us know how it went.mws919
You have just described it EXACTLY! We will try that...would any parts store have it? or dealer only? where can I see a pic of one at? I will try this web-site. Will let you know if this is it. Thanks a lot!
yes, they make all kinds of them. as a rule the more it cost the longer they will last. service time is, check every 15000 miles"leaks". i replace mine about every 30-40000 miles depending on how much i beat on it. let me know. mws919
