1988 gmc truck , water coming out of exhaust/ just replaced intake gasket.

One thing has nothing to do with the other. Water out of the exhaust is normal. How's it runnin now that you replaced the intake gasket? Any problems? Any codes? Think you got problems, then post the results of a compression test and an engine vacuum pressure test.

If you went to your doctor and told him you weren't feelin well, he would examine you and run tests on you to find out what is wrong. No different here and with fixin your truck. First chance you get post the results of a compression test (or cylinder leak down test) and an engine vacuum pressure test.

Is there water in the oil? If there is it will usually be a creamy light brown.
