I have to change the front pads so ill have to bleed the lines. If there is no air in the lines then would it be the booster or master cylinder?

cglisson84,

Sorry buddy, but even if you do have "ABS" (WHICH YOU FAILED TO INDICATE), that (DOES NOT) mean that that you should have to bleed the lines if (ALL YOU DID WAS REPLACE THE FRONT PADS)?

YOU DO KNOW HOW TO REPLACE THE BRAKE PADS ON AN "ABS VEHICLE" (WITHOUT OPENING THE LINES) DON'T YOU?

If all you did was replace the front brake pads (WITHOUT OPENING ANY LINES) then you are missing something. Try to figure out what that something is, then let us know how we can help you further?

If for (SOME REASON) you did open the lines, then take a (SECOND) and (THIRD) look at your "Bleeding Procedure". If you (STILL) can't figure it out, then you should try "Power Bleeding".

YOU HAVE RULED OUT A DAMAGED "ABS" MODULE RIGHT?

how long did you pump the

how long did you pump the brakes after installing pads, it will go to the floor for up to 6-10 times befor it seats the pads?

Check fr external leaks. If

Check fr external leaks. If none are present, you can use grip pliers to block off the rubber brake hoses tot he front brakes. apply the brake pedal to see if it now feels normal. If so, the problem is most likely with the front brakes.
If they feel the same, try this on the rear brakes.

To check the master cyline you can block off all f oru lines and then apply the brake (no very hard though). If the pedal goes to the floor, suspect a bad master cylinder.

A bad brake booster usually results in a harder than normal brake pedal.

did you figger it out yet?
