1995 saturn automatic won't start or turnover, radio works and lights, tried jumping car off, battery would not charge, what can be the problem? If it is the battery why are the radio and lights working?

does not take as many volts

does not take as many volts to run the lights as it does the starter. If to many of the cells in the battery are bad it won't turn over or hold a charge. Try a new battery. If this does not work check inline fuses on wiring to the starter. If at least makes a click noise when you try to start it, it won't be the fuses. Most likely a battery problem. Be sure posts and connections are good and clean.
