1996 Acura 3.2TL overheating replaced torn hose on back of engine, thermostat, and bad radiator cap. no water leaks at all, no water in oil, no oil in water, yet still overheating and gauge goes from normal to hot to normal to hot in mere sec erratic

the fans are running fine and

the fans are running fine and cycling it is a new radiator I just had the motor rebuilt and it now has about 7500 miles on it. the fact that no external or internal leaks evident leaves me puzzled I replaced the thermostat the gauge fluctuating hot cold hot cold led me to believe it was sticking.Im begining to think it may be a faulty waterpump itself if its not circulating the water enough, yet I see it flowing I am going to compare it to another system to note difference

Is the engine actually

Is the engine actually running hot (or just reading hot according to the guage)?

Check the temp sending unit. compare it to another. Make sure it has a good connection.

a stripped propeller on water pump would cause this kinda of problem but they most time make alot of noise
