is check engine light on?

it has come on 2 times the

it has come on 2 times the first time they said they being a mechanic that it needed a tune up and that was done then the 2nd time it came on they said the wire for the crankshaft sensor to the cam was broke so they fixed that but it is still eating gas missing and when youturn on ac it acts like it is gonna stall like it looses power

was the timming belt replaced

was the timming belt replaced befor the problem started?

no the first check engine

no the first check engine light came on then the timing belt was changed , i have no idea what the car did or didn't do then because i just bought the car . i bought the car test drove it , it seemed fine my husband took it to our mechanic and he said have the timing belt changed due to it being at 70,000 miles my husband drove the car to the insurance agent and the check engine light came on , so when he got back to the dealer the dealer agreed to have the timing belt changed and have the check engine light checked that is when his mechanic said it needed to have a tune up that it had a misfire , then we got it back and drove it noticed it was eating gas , missing , then went to stalling last week then check engine light came on they said it was the crankshaft sensor wire that runs to the cam they replaced it and it still is missing and eating gas

some of the 2,4 liter engins

some of the 2,4 liter engins have had a problem with the flywheel cracking causing the crakn/cam sensor to go out of sync. you'll need a scan tool to gheck crank shaft sync.
