2001 Ford Windstar ,theft light came on for a second and the engine started to stall,but continued to run. Then I stopped at a drive thru and the theft light came on again and it did quit running.

Check for a possible p1260 theft detected vehicle immobilized
. If so refer to this Service Bulletin released by Ford on the issue.
