The problem sounds like it could be coming from the battery still. Not likely, but a possibility could be the new battery. Try jump starting the vehicle. If the crank is stronger you can pretty much rule out the starter. An alternator is a good possibility, especially if you can get the vehicle jump started, and have it die when you take your foot off the gas. If it runs ok with no problems once jump started, you will need to look into a short. Commonly off a body component. Let me know how this works out for you.
