air coming in
I have 2005 chrysler sebring 2.7, first it ran hot and I had the top thermostat housing replaced which was cracked, after this it did not run hot but bubbles forms in the reservoir over time driving, I had a block test on it ran while cold and hot and passed both, next had thermostat replaced and still the problem exist, can it be as simple as the reservoir cap not sealing off properly? It does have a crack in it or what could be the problem. What shoud I do next?

Tambo, Have you: Made sure
Tambo,
Have you:
Made sure that the system has been bled and is free of air?
Monitored the system to make sure it is not loosing coolant?
Pressure tested the system and radiator cap for leaks?
Eliminated some kind of coolant contamination (such as a flush agent left in the system)?
Also I want to be clear on "bubbles". Are there just bubbles floating in the reservior or can you actually sit there and watch it bubbling like it is boiling? Keep in mind that a proper mix of coolant and preesure can increase your boiling point from 212 to maybe 260 degrees. If you don't have a 50/50 coolant mix and a good radiator cap your boiling point will be lower than it should be. Your gauge only shows temperature and does not show boiling point.
Post back with more info or questions. We'll be glad to help. Thanks.
Tambo, Post in (DETAIL) how
Tambo,
Post in (DETAIL) how you did the block test.
Besides the block test, What (ADDITIONAL) steps have you taken to either (RULE IN) or (RULE OUT) a head or head gasket issue?
