Cooling System

I have a 2004 Chrysler Intrepid V6 270.
It recently got too hot and we added coolant but it only
went like 8 miles and it gpt hot again.
the coolant disapears although ther is no water in the oil.
I do not have a manual for right now but I check the
one head where there is a plug and it has no water or
coolant!
Could it be the water pump?

Ino, (You Said) the coolant

Ino,

(You Said) the coolant disapears although ther is no water in the oil.

Who said that the coolant has to mix with oil to disappear?

Here's a new word for your vocabulary :-).

LEAK !!!!

Have you used a Cooling System Pressure Tester to rule out a COOLANT LEAK?
