Engine Stalls
I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe - v8 four wheel drive
It Stall when driving no engine light stays on
and it starts up again.
my mechanic could not find and error code in the computer
what do you think it could be?

Ebochmn,
It could be a number of things:
Lack of proper spark.
Lack of proper fuel pressure and delivery.
Vacuum leaks.
Excessive exhaust back pressure.
Low compression.
Ambient air entering post MAF (mass air flow).
Have you cleaned the throttle body and IAC (idle air control)?
Have you cleaned the MAF?

In addition to what's already been posted, we gotta know the conditions and details of the stall. In other words:
How fast are you going when the truck stalls?
Are you coasting?
Does the speed or coasting even make a difference?
Is the engine cold, warm or hot?
Does it stall right after a fill-up?
Does it stall when the fuel level in the tank is at a certain level, or does the level not matter?

I was going to work- on the road around thirty and on the highway - around fifty - either way it stalls and not every day -its been three days sence the last stall , I had it checked out and could not find any error codes in compter.

Was your foot on or off the gas when it stalled? I know you were going down the road but were you under load or just coasting?

Ebochmn,
Sounds like you just picked up a load of bad gas. Replace the fuel filter and start usin a Top Tier fuel. Also try a few applications of Seafoam, and let us know the results.
