Hi I have a 1993 Toyota Tarago (Previa) which has done 220,000kms. Motor runs very well and it's well looked after. Today it has started pouring large amounts of blue smoke from the exhaust and it runs fine. What might this be?

Sounds like you have a major oil leak. When oil leaks into the combustion chamber and gets ignited by spark, the result is blue smoke.

You need to have the vehicle checked for internal oil leaks. Don't forget to check the oil level as well. Either the valve seals in the heads are bad or you have bad piston rings.
