i have a 1999 chevy s10 starts and runs fine then after i drive about 1 hr and shut it off it wont start again for several hrs or till next day it cranks and it get fuel and spark security light is on but no checkegine light please help

Does the security light go off? The security system could be a factor here, on the other hand it could be a number of other different things. Since it starts hours later and the next day, I'm thinking a failing "Check Valve" at the fuel pump. Using a "Fuel Pressure Gauge", post the "Static" fuel pressure when the truck (WON'T) start. Static pressure is fuel pressure with the "Key on and engine (NOT) running. Also when the truck (WON'T) start, crank the engine and let us know if spark is reaching the plugs.

First is "Static Fuel Pressure" (KOEO). (MUST BE) 41-47 PSI. Are you reading that on your "Fuel Pressure Gauge"?
