I have a 2001 Ford Excursion with a dead radio/CD player. I think it has to do with the electrical system as the central dash consul lights are not working concurrently. I have checked the fuses. Is there a switch that needs to be replaced?

I don't respond to personal
I don't respond to personal e-mail accounts for repair problems. The reason being is that there are individuals on this forum that are not repair contributors. They are forum readers and users only. They come to the forum to read our answers and learn. If I respond to your e-mail account, it wouldn't be fair to those folks. They would be missing out on my answer. The goal of this forum is to help everyone, and we want everyone to benefit from our answers. You said you checked the fuses and none were blown correct? Those were the fuses in the fuse box correct? Well, there are more fuses to be checked. They are in the back of the radio/CD player. You gotta pull it out of the dash and foward, so you can get to the back of the unit to check those fusees. If those fuses are not blown, then tell us and we'll instruct you further. BTW, is this an OE unit or aftermarket?
Dr, Double check the fuses. I
Dr,
Double check the fuses. I believe that 1, 8 and 21 all go to the radio. Use a test light to check that not only that the fuses are good but that they have power to them.
If you end up having to pull the radio this link may help
