I have a 95 ford probe i worked on the transmission do i need to reset the computer? the safety brake switch well not let me shift out of park. if so how do i do yhat

Check the adjustment of the "safety brake switch." Some vehicles have them located on the brake pedal bracket (arm). It resembles the brake light switch. There may also be a switch in the center console near the gear selector. You'll have to remove the center console (where the gear selector is) to get to that switch.

Generally, you will not have to reset the computer, however, what kind of work did you perform on the transmission?
