I have a 98 GMC van with a 4.3. It has 61lbs of fuel pressure, good spark out of the distributor, and good compression. It will run for 3 to 5 seconds then stops. When the key switch is turned to the off position it backfires thru the air intake. Any idea

I forgot an important point.
I forgot an important point. It would start by the the remote start until a car dealers mechanic took the remote off.I can't see any broken wires or anything unpluged.
