I have a question that needs more than one line of information

I have a 4 cylinder 93 Jeep

I have a 4 cylinder 93 Jeep Wrangler. I recently changed the engine due to the main bearings gone bad.
(Question #1) I changed the clutch while I had it all apart. While putting in the concentric bearing I made sure to install the hydraulic lines so they were seated correctly. I tried to bleed the lines prior to installing the engine. While doing so the bearing expanded and started leaking out the inside. I just figured it had expanded too far because the clutch was not there to stop it. I compressed it back and continued with the install. After all was installed I then again tried to bleed the system. Just when I think I have them bled the clutch pedal becomes floppy again. I also have to tell that the clutch cylinder master line popped apart (at the disconnect) on my 4th attempt to bleed. I was able to get it back together and gave up for the night.
(Question #2) While trying to start the Jeep all I was getting was one click out of the starter, so I figured maybe the battery was low so I jumped it and got nothing. I know the battery has good power so I am not thinking it is that. The starter worked fine prior to the change. Engine does not even turn over. I believe all the connections were done correctly but it seem all the pictures I took of the engine before it was taken out got deleted from my camera so I have no references. I had only 2 questionable connections which I believe were grounds, one from the battery and the other came from the wire harness under the alternator. Both I grounded to the engine. Any help would be great. Thank you,
Andrew Benning
