I recently replaced the automatic transmission-700r4- on my 92 chevy s-10 4.3L 2wd; speedometer is not working even after replacing speed sensor odometer is not working either. Would it be electrical?

is it a gear driven sensor or a inductive type sensor. and was it diff. than the one that was in the oe. trans.?

when you look in the sensor hole, can you see the tone gear on the out put shaft?
