Is there an adjustment on the clutch of a 2000 Nissan Xterra SE
I haven't had a chance to look yet but thought I'd ask ahead of time... My girlfriend has a 2000 Nissan Xterra, when she got home tonight she said it sounded/felt like the tranny was slipping. Well it's a 5-speed so the only slipping that could be occurring would be either a worn out clutch or the clutch being out of adjustment.
Now I'm mechanically inclined and do all my own mechanic work for the most part, but don't really want to do a clutch so I'm hoping there is an adjustment and that will get me/her by for the time being.
Thanx for the input.

59, It's a hydraulic clutch
59,
It's a hydraulic clutch so there are no adjustments for slipping. There are pedal height and clearance adjustments, but that's it. If the clutch is truly slipping it's gonna have to be replaced, along with the pressure plate, throw out bearing and resurfacing or replacing the flywheel. (As needed).
What's the mileage on the truck?
Has the clutch ever been replaced?
Is it due to be replaced again?
Answering the above questions will determine if replacement is necessary. Here's the link for pedal height and clearance adjustments.
