My 1991 ford F250 4x4 superduty diesel truck..., the brake lights are not working when i press in the pedal, i checked the fuse and the fuse are fine. what else should i look into to make it work?

It is possible for bulbs to burn out at the same time. If the bulbs check out then check sockets, grounds, and trailer harness (if so equipped). If still nothing, then jump out the the brake light switch. If the lights come on replace the switch.

When you check all that was stated above go ahead and check for power to the brake switch and power from the switch when brake is applied. This will verify not only the operation of the switch, it will tell you where you might wanna look next. The combination (turn signal switch) That may sound strange but they are turn signals as well as brake lightsand the combo switch is a common problem. You can get a free diagram at autozone.com. It will show you not only what components the wires go to but what color they are. Log in or register-enter your year, make and model-go to repair info- go to chasis electrical-go to wiring diagrams-scroll down to figure 27. A link may likely get you there but it's (in my opinion) best that you navigate your way there to get your self used to navigating the sight. It could help you not only today but in the future.
