my 1999 vw passat overheaated. waterpump impeller broke. i replaced the waterpump, replaced the timing belt while i was in there. now the car will not start. any suggestions?

did it jump timing at the

did it jump timing at the belt?
was timing marks lined up properly when belt was installed

timing belt was not broken.

timing belt was not broken. it actually overheated 2 days before i replaced the pump. i started it to pull it onto the ramps and it stalled. has not started since. the timing belt was intact. i did make sure the timing marks were aligned before i removed the old belt. no signs of coolant in the oil at all. oil level is fine, does not seem overfull or milky.

got to check spark and fuel

got to check spark and fuel pressure frist, even if it was off a tooth, it would still do something. i'd start from scrach, spark, fuel and compression.

i pulled the spark plugs.

i pulled the spark plugs. they are soaked with gas/oil mixture. like i had said car did start, but stalled. not sure why car stalled,at first i suspected timing belt. i was actaullt disappointed when i found it was still intact. plugs are obviously fouled, but not sure as to why.
