My 2002 Chrysler Concorde has trouble starting. There is a strong smell of gas under plenum. The car runs great after it starts, but still has a gas smell.

1. Check the fuel pressure and see if it holds at key off. The running pressure should be 58 PSI and when the engine is turned off the fuel pressure should not drop below 25 PSI in 25 minutes.

2. If the fuel pressure drops off, isolate the gauge with the fuel rail to see if the pressure is dropping through the injectors or back through the fuel pump.

Check the fuel pressure regulators for leaks.
