are you sure it's the brakes?
are you sure it's the brakes? stop on a hill and place the transmission in nuetral with your foot holding the brake pedal down, then release the brakes and see if it rolls freely, if so it's not your brakes. most likely cause then is transmission. let us know
check your brake and
check your brake and transmission fluid as well.
Disassemble brakes and clean
Disassemble brakes and clean and grease all slide plates and slide pins (using synthetic caliper grease sold at all auto parts suppliers and is used as an industry standard by top techs everywhere) associated with the calipers and pads. As an added measure replace the rubber brake hoses as well. These brake hoses deteriorate from the inside impeeding proper circulation of brake fluid causing symptoms just as you have discribed. These brake hoses are relatively inexpensive and worth replacing every few years as a preventive measure you won't be sorry you did it. Good luck and happy motoring
