my 92 chevy 4x4 automatic. the park brake light will come on when hit the brake pedal and stay on sometimes. if you hit the brake pedal again once or twice will go out. will replacing the pedal switch correct this or will i need to go deeper than that?

Are you sure it's the emergency brake light and not the brake light coming on?
Is the brake fluid level full?
Are you having braking or stopping problems?
Does the brake pedal go down to far?
Sounds like this could be an "ABS" problem. are there any "ABS" codes?
the light is in bottom right
the light is in bottom right of cluster. (truck is actually daughters.) i believe the light just says brake and is red, if that helps any. i have driven and brakes and pedal travel seem ok to me.
