it could be a lot of things,
it could be a lot of things, most likely water pump leak. if it runs too low on coolant it going to hurt engin. have it looked at soon. mws919
you have to observe the leak
you have to observe the leak to determine what needs repair. hoses, water pump, freeze plug and heater core all can leak.
could this be the intake
could this be the intake manifold gasket or crack in it. i also hear a water swishing sound coming from behind the dash.
the noise in the dash is the
the noise in the dash is the heater core not being full and slushing.
ok so what does that mean?
ok so what does that mean? and does it have anything to do with my water loss or can water loss come from the intake
is there water in the oil
is there water in the oil when you check the dip? it would be milky looking. you have to see the spot thats gushing out, it has to be obvious.
the coolant in the engin is
the coolant in the engin is pumped throu the heater core. so if engin coolant is low, so is the coolant in the core. like a half bottol of water makes a louder slush than a full one. so the noise in the dash is a low heater core. once the leak is repaired the noise will stop. but you've got to look to see where the leak is comming from and let us know. mws919
no the oil doesn't look
no the oil doesn't look milky, and as far as the water running out we can't exactly see where is coming from for sure i just don't want to get ripped off for repairs it may not need like them saying the manifold needs replaced so oil looks fine can the manifold leak water out.
yes there are canels in the
yes there are canels in the heads and block - you say its running out - take off the air cleaner so you can see the whole engine. worse case cracked block not so bad warped or cracked head or intake manifold.
you are going to have to get
you are going to have to get it pressure tested to see where the leak is comming from. we could guess all day, but it's not getting any closer it fixing it. you can always ask to see the leak when they find it and make sure they offer a guarantee to the diagnosis. then call around to price thier est.
well problem solved water was
well problem solved water was coming from intake the gasket. after they took the it apart they showed me the gasket or should i say what was left of it. so having it fixed should be done tomorrow. thank you for the help. have a nice day
