My Toyota Camry '92 is making a high pitch beep occasionally when I drive, but none of the warning lights on the dashboard light up. What is this trying to tell me?

is it a beep, like a cel phone or like a horn? i had the same complate befor, it turned out to be a toy under the seat, that was going dead, and every now and then it would beep. any way let me know what type of beep and any driving cond. that may be related. mws919

It is definately not the horn

It is definately not the horn or any toy battery dying :) Good tips though thanks.

It is definately coming from the front end of the car, and is a single very loud, high pitched sound. It does not appear to coincide with any particular driving practice, but it varies in length. For example sometimes it is very quick, and sometimes it goes for up to 5-10 seconds.

sorry more questions, could

sorry more questions, could it be a chrup, that would lead me to fan belts. when did it start, any prire work done, more so hot-cold, braking or turning, a/c-heater on/off? sorry, but it will narrow it down. next time you drive it look for these things. let us know. mws919
