Is the engine cranking and
Is the engine cranking and not turning over, or is in not even cranking?
Is the alarm from the factory or aftermarket? If aftermarket, try to come up with a manufacturers name and model number and post it.
yes is cranking start for two
yes is cranking start for two seconds and stop, the alarm is a factory how reset the alarm. thanks.
try to lock and un lock
try to lock and un lock drivers door, if that doesn't work, put a batt. charger on it and leave drivers door open with key on for a hour.
if the drivers door lock didn't reset it, the door latch switch or it's wiring is broken.
Since the engine cranks,
Since the engine cranks, "It's not an alarm problem". Just so you know the factory alarm kills the starter. If this was a factory alarm problem the engine "wouldn't even be crankin". You "Failed" to post an engine size. To get your jeep started post an engine size. Just so you know the 4.0 or 5.2 don't use a timing belt. Both use a timing chain. Also (just so you know) chains do break and do jump time.
Are there any codes set?
Is spark reachin the plugs?
Is fuel reachin the plugs?
Are the fuel injectors firing?
thanks mws i try later, big
thanks mws i try later, big block is 5.2l no codes i try later the plugs and fuel, thanks.
chrysler skim alarms do let
chrysler skim alarms do let the engin start and run for about 20 seconds then stall, if tryed too manys times it may shut the starter relay down for a set time frame.
belive me i work for a chrysler dealer and am a master chrysler tech.
Again, Are there any codes
Again,
Are there any codes set?
Is spark reachin the plugs?
Is fuel reachin the plugs?
Are the fuel injectors firing?
again, ya dumm ass, it runs
again, ya dumm ass, it runs then stalls, clue less?????
Mws919, Watch it man. No need
Mws919,
Watch it man. No need for insults. We’re all on the same team here just tryin to help. Cool your heels man. Take a break from the forum. Have a few drinks. Come back with a different attitude.
Nock nock,
Didn't think I had to be this explicit. I know when it runs and the stalls. WHEN IN STALL MODE
Is spark reachin the plugs?
Is fuel reachin the plugs?
Are the fuel injectors firing?
Still waitin for you to post any error codes.
you should talk about insults
you should talk about insults and of course it will not have any fuel pressure or spark, it's in anti theft mode and the asd is shut down, and donn't think they'll be able to scan the skim module for codes.
as long as bad/worth less info is given to the people asking for help, my heels will be hot, i've been on here a long time helping people with info that can be backed up by manufacture's repair info and 30 years experience in the field, i do this for a living, so i cann't make mistakes and very rearly do.
Nock nock, I'm just wondering
Nock nock,
I'm just wondering if you are lost in terminology here? When Big Block 409 asks you, if spark is reaching the plugs, and if fuel is reaching the plugs, and if the fuel injectors are firing, the first thing that comes to my mind, is do you fully understand what he is talking about? What he is talking about is critical and basic to the starting of any fuel injected engine. There are specific tools that you can use to verify what Big Block 409 is asking. If you are lost, or unsure of what he is saying, you should ask him to explain.
Sorry guys is holiday
Sorry guys is holiday weekend, the jeep was in mi garage for 4 months en that time i lose the control alarm and the battery is dead i get a new battery y only star for 2 seconds en stop before that the jeep running great a think is the alarm, tomorrow is another day and maybe chek all, thanks again.
Nock, Your focus to fix this
Nock,
Your focus to fix this problem should be on the two second time interval. Believe it or not those two seconds are telling you exactly what the problem is. The first thing is how is the start-up after it stalls? Is the start-up quick, easy, and immediate, or is the start-up difficult, and do you have to wait a few minutes or longer before the truck starts again? The next thing is if you continue to spray carburetor cleaner into the throttle body will the motor continue to run? Obviously you need a second person (behind the wheel to work the ignition key) to accurately answer this question.
well, let us know what fixed
well, let us know what fixed it.
One thing I forgot to
One thing I forgot to mention, is DON'T spray starting fluid into the throttle body. Use ONLY carburetor cleaner.
Thanks for you help, the jeep
Thanks for you help, the jeep is fine the problem was in the alarm only look and unlook with the key and runnin, thanks again.
that's what i thought, now
that's what i thought, now you'll have to have the fobs tested, maybe just the fob batt.
That's why we keep mws919
That's why we keep mws919 here on the forum, and pay him the big bucks. :-)
