On my 1973 Ford LTD. Something is draining my (new & checked) battery as it sits still. There is a 12 volt reading between the disconnected neg.cable and the neg. post. I have pulled fuses to isolate circuit with no results. The alternator checks out O

you said it, batt. drain. so check it for a batt. draw. make sure every thing is shut off in the car and with keys in your pocket. disconnect the neg. batt. cable and install a test light between the cable and the neg. batt. term., if it lights, you've got a draw. now remove one fuse at a time until the light goes out. that fuse's circuit is where your draw is comming from. now just check the loads on that circuit. if you need more help with this, let us know. mws919
