seatbelt alert

2007 dodge dakota seat belt alert chimes continuously even when seat belts are buckled. Tried the buckle three times thing to disable it but it doesn't work. How would a dealer disable it?

Ronnie, They wouldn't

They wouldn't permanently disable it. Well, atleast no technician in their right mind would. It's a law suit waiting to happen and there are too many good lawyers out there. If the disable procedure you tried failed it is probably because the switch for the seat belt is faulty but it could be something more involved with the belt alert system.

There might be a TSB out for
