The abs light is on my 2004 honda element.The rear axle and sensor were replaced after anaccident to the driverside rear. all codes point to that wheel.What is the problem?

most likely bad wiring, some

most likely bad wiring, some thing may have pinched a wire in the accident, loosen a ground point or you may have gotten a bad part.
most body shops can reopen a claim with in a time period, i'd give the shop a call and see.

check the back side of the

check the back side of the hub to see if the pick-up "tooth" for the sensor is still in place and in good condition.

Is the pick up tooth part of the hub? Is it removable and might not have been put back on?

it's bolted into the hub and

it's bolted into the hub and it's wire runs along the rear suspenion arm to the connector on under body.
if it was damaged and not replaced, it could very well be cause of abs light, but should be tested befor replacing it.
the pick teeth or tone ring is part of hub and the hub holds the wheel on.
