what does it mean when your security light on your dashboard is on an car wont start

could mean that your airbag has been deployed at some point for the light and prob means something else as to why it wont start.

if it is a sceurity problem, frist, disconnect the batt. for a hour, reconnect it and try another key if you have one. if that doesn't work you'll have to find out if it is your immobilizer. check for spark and fuel pressure. if you have either one, it's not the sceurity system, it kills both. let us know how you make out.

like maybe you could be out of gas or your starter is shot or could be the solenoid so try to bridge the solenoid to the starter with a screwdriver with a rubber handle if that doesnt work you know your starter is shot

i got a new trans put in after that my light has been on since it use to start the last day i was driving and the car just cut off

yes after that the has been on it would run w light on one day it stopped on me
