if it is just the brake light, not abs, check the level of brake fluid in the resivior. if low top it up to the full line. take it for a ride and see if it happens agin. if not it's probley time for a brake inspection. you didn't say what type of car it is. but the rule of thumb is inless of leak, the fluid level will drop proportionally to brake lining wear. so if the system has never lost any fluid it's an indcator to brake wear. let us know what type of car.

no, no bulletins. they are sensitive to low fluid level, check it and get back to me. mws919 p.s. while you are checking the level, on the side of the master cylinder resivior there is a eleectric connector, check the wire to make sure it's not pinched or rubbing on some thing.
