04 silverado 2500 hd 4X4. When driving over bumps the front left brake pads and caliper rattle. I have installed 3 differant calipers, new pads and pins (rubber tips too). The rattle comes back after a couple of days. It seems like the caliper isn't taking

check the metal clips which go on the pads to be sure that they are in place. These clips are designed to prevent rattling and squeaking noises.

Also, if the rotors have been machined recently, if they left what is called a directional finish on the rotor the pads will follow the grooves in the rotor (similar to the needle on a phonograph--if you remember those)and as they get to the point where they can't travel any further the caliper will snap them back into place, causing a clicking noise.

My entire post didn't copy to this forum. All the brake parts are new, I have changed them 3 times using differant part brands. The ABS system has been disabled for over a year (ABS module is fried) This is only on the driver's side. To me this is a hydralic problem and I don't have enough experiance with ABS pump and manifolds to figure this out. I have used brake quiet adhesive and proper brake lube for the pins. There is just too much slack causing the caliper to rattle on the pins and the pads rattle inthe braket. Have you come across this problem before?
