Blaze, The heater core
Blaze,
The heater core installs in the car, and the hose nipples coming off the core, (COOLANT SEND and RETURN) extend thru the firewall into the engine compartment. At that point a length of heater hose is used to attach each nipple to the engine.
SO
If you can you (RULE IN) a heater hose issue (CRACKED or SPLIT) or if you can (RULE IN) a hose nipple issue (CRACKED or SPLIT) then you found how it’s possible for your heater core to leak (OUTSIDE and INSIDE) the car.

after observation there is certainly antifreeze coming from both areas, (on the passenger side and on the ground from somewhere under the hood) however i have not a backyard or an area yet to do any real repair work, i'm currently working on that. however could you give any details or specifics on what i'm to do concerning the dash and under the hood (first time really working on a car) ie:what does/should the heater core look like, how hard is it to replace it and whould it benefit me more to do it myself or take it to a shop..
thanks
