1994 ford aerostar,3.0,4 spd.auto..transmission works excellent(shifts right ,no slippage),but when i shift from neutral,park ,or reverse,i have to rev the engine a minute to get transmission to engage.after that,it is good

need to have it checked by shop - make sure your fluid level is right - thats not normal to have to rev the engine - time for a new filter and flush

any thing is possable but
any thing is possable but it's best to be safe than sorry,what color is the fluid,and is the fluid full,try a filter and flush.
Ford transmissions are all
Ford transmissions are all the same the lip seals in transmissions all get hard to soften them I always put 1 ounce of brake fluid in with the trans fluid this softens the seals so it will enguage quicker and when it is working better change your trans fluid remember no more than 1 ounce.
