Check engine light on & car
Check engine light on & car stalls when at a stop. The care was scanned & the reading is a : Miss fire on Cyc 4. What are the items on the car that would neeed to be check out or replaced?
A misfire at "ONE" cylinder
A misfire at "ONE" cylinder could be caused by a number of different things. Let's start easy and with a "COMMON SENSE" item first.
Swap the "Number 4" ignition cable with another cable. (Number 5 for example). If the "Misfire" follows to the "Number 5" cylinder, you know you have a bad "Ignition Cable".
Is PO304 set?
Post the "Misfire Error code.
Most likely spark plug, spark
Most likely spark plug, spark plug wire on that cylinder.
Check the wire to see if it has damage (burned on exhaust, cuts, etc.)
If wire has no obvious damage. I would change the spark plug first. If that doen't work then I would change the wire.
