2001 Toyota Camry, How do I free up the drivers door inside door release handle? The screw is removed, the panel is loose.I am in the process of replacing the outer door handle. My experience is in heavy truck, thirty years. I just don't want to break it.

There are 3 Phillips screws

There are 3 Phillips screws that are covered up by small trim pieces. First one is located towards the door jam (circle cover), second one is located below the window switch (circle cover), and the third is located behind the inner door lever. (square looking cover) Once you have removed these screws, pop the mirror cover off. ( triangle cover)Using the pocket screwdriver, stick it in between the inner door handle trim cover and the lock button and lightly pry up. Perform the same procedure by wedging the screwdriver in between the trim piece and inner door lever. By doing this, the trim piece will come off. Using the screwdriver again, pry up the window switch bezel in the front. Once popped up, there is a Phillips screw. Remove it. One last piece to remove. There is a small plastic trim button towards the door striker. Push the button in, but not all the way and remove the piece. Using the door panel tool, lightly pry the door panel off the door.
