axle removal
i am having problems removing axle shaft from transmission,is there a snap ring and how do i remove it, the car is a 2003 pontiac vibe,1.8 l series. right front

Before the mechanics here can help you, you have to tell them the engine size and if it's 2 wheel or all wheel drive. I remember when I did mine, I was able to borrow a slap hammer from auto zone that was designed to pull the axle. It cost me nothing to borrow, because auto zone offers a free loaner tool service.
