CAR WONT START

I Have a 2003 dodge stratus that Died on me when I went to the store I came out of the store started the car and then it started to fluctuate then died I checked for a fuel pump fuse but wasnt able to locate It.I then turned the key to the on possition to see if I could hear the fuel pump kick on but It didn't. I then had the car towed home.the following day I cranked it over and it started. I left it running for awhile tell it warmed up then I shut it off, then I went to start it and all it did was crank over but did not start. Could it be the fuel pump? And if it is is the fuel pump located in the tank! forgot to note that before I started the car I turned the key on once again and I heard the fuel pump kick on.

Palomo, Most likely a failed

Palomo,

Most likely a failed check valve at the fuel pump, which means you gotta replace the fuel pump. Yes the fuel pump is in the fuel tank. However but don't buy or replace any parts or replace the pump yet. The problem could also be electrical (like a defective fuel pump relay). The problem here is that you failed to post an engine size. In 2003 there were five different engine possibilities for a Dodge Stratus. We can give you general repair information, but I'm sure you'd much rather prefer "Vehicle Specific" repair information. If you do? then you gotta post an engine size.
