electric fan
I have a 1984 z28 camaro with a 5.0 engine, the fan isn't working, I just bought the car and notice someone straight wired the fan. beisdes checking the fuse and relays for the fan can their be any other thing I can check? I want it to work on its own power source. thanks Storm

storm,
As a test only jump the fan directly to the battery. If the fan doesn't spin then replace it. If the fan does spin then obviously it's good. At that point restore the circuit back to it's original configuration and drive the car normally. Watch to see if the fan comes on. If the fan doesn't come on then you're gonna have to troubleshoot the circuit. Be careful while driving the car. don't let it run hotter than normal or overheat.
