Got a new question. The bearing in the steering wheel. Is it supposed to be like a 2 piece deal? I went to put it all back together and the wheel was flopping around. So I took it all back apart and the center part of the bearing was pulled out a little. I pushed it back in and now its fine. But I'm wondering if I should replace it. Your thoughts? This is on a 91 jeep comanche.

are you talking about the top

where are you getting play?

If i turn the metal piece around and set the spring on top of it, it doesn't let it move and it acts like it should. so, you think thats what was wrong. had it backwards?

It's as mws919 stated. "The
