Have 1986 Mazda 626 manual non turbo. Need to remove steering wheel. Repair manual said remove center medalion & horn buttons. Medalion easy & removed screws behind horn buttons but center of steering wheel won't come off

Start the center nut just
Start the center nut just enough so that it has a few threads catching and wont pull off, then put the drivers seat way back and get a big dude to yank on the stearing wheel like a mad ape, it should pull off. Otherwise, go rent a stearing wheel puller.
