how do I change a thermostat on a 4 cyl 1995 Camry?

Temp gauge is running very cool to cold depending on speed of vehicle. No leaks, but I am going to replace the radiator cap just to be sure it is pressurizing properly. I can see where the top hose attaches to the block. There is a sensor on top also. Can I get the stat out relatively easy? Dealer wants $100-120 to do it.

1.radiator 2.upper hose 3.lower hose 4.radiator cap 5.water pump 6.thermostat 7.thermostat housing 8. fans 9. fan motor The labor time on the thermostat is almost an hour. This thermostat is along the lower hose. You will have to disconnect some fans. It's a bit harder than most, but very possible. Other things to keep in mind if you have a scan tool. 1. Check engine temperature on the scan tool to verify that the engine temperature is coming up in case of a possible thermostat problem. May have a cooling system problem as well.
