not sure why you need new upper intake for a bent rod problem. need more info. mws919
THe rod was not bent, so far.
THe rod was not bent, so far. the plenum was damaged from possibly getting too hot, due to the suspected Dex Cool and the problem GM had with the gaskets melting or wearing. Car's temperature went to 260 degrees and shut off . Coolant disappeared, but did not leak ou, but came out as white smoke from the tail pipe. Dealer diagnostic shows no major damage to the engine. Had new starter, plugs replaced and oil and water drained from engine.
